Assigning Approval Plans

By Approval

Approval plans are a great way to let other colleagues who don’t have a Mail Designer 365 App plan (i.e. marketers, managers, etc.) join in the discussion on your email design.

How to assign plans

Please note, the following steps can only be performed by a team admin.

  • Log in to your my.maildesigner365 account and go to the “Members” tab. Here you will see a list of everyone in your team and their respective plans.
  • Assign users a plan by clicking the button next to their name and selecting an available plan from the dropdown list.
  • If you have no available plans, you can purchase more via the “Store” tab.
  • To assign a plan to someone not yet in your team, invite new team members via the button at the top of the page:
  • Once they have accepted your invitation, you will be notified via email and will be able to assign them a plan.

When plans have been assigned, you will be able to upload your email designs to Mail Designer 365 Approval and get their feedback.

Inviting Team Members to Give Feedback on Designs

By Approval

Once you have uploaded a design to Approval, you will want to share it with your team.

To invite an existing team member, click on the share icon in the top right corner of the Approval window:

This will open up a list of your current team members. Simply check the box next to their name and click “Share.” They will then be notified about your newly uploaded design by email.

If you want to invite a new team member, click on the plus icon:

Enter their email address in the field provided for them to be notified by email.

Please note, in order for newly invited team members to view the design, you will need to assign them an Approval plan. You can do this via your my.maildesigner365 account in the team view after they have accepted your invitation.

Now that you’ve invited all your team members to the discussion, you can get on with the feedback process.

Upload a Design for Approval

By Approval

If you have created a design in Mail Designer 365 which you want to share with your whole team, you can use the Approval feature and invite team members to leave comments and feedback via a practical online portal. Here’s how it works…

Upload designs to the Approval Portal

Once you are satisfied with your email design and want to share it with your team, you can click on the “Upload” icon at the top of the app window:

A pop-up window will appear. Choose your team from the dropdown menu and click on “Upload” when you are ready. In this window you will be notified if you have already uploaded a version of this design and are waiting for approval.

Following upload, you will be notified that your design has been uploaded. Click on “Go to approval” to jump straight to the discussion thread, where you can invite team members to give feedback on your design. Otherwise, click “Dismiss” to return to your design window.
