I read that you can control smart TVs with TV Pro. I use TV Pro Classic, but I cannot find anything.
Why are shipments after 0:00 AM counted towards the current day?
Assuming a program is running on Friday night at 0:05 AM. In the TV Pro Apps, however, this program appears in the listing on Thursday at 0:05 AM. Why is that?
For the TV day, it is assumed that the TV day starts at 5 AM and lasts until 4:59 AM the next day.
Two reasons:
- If you look in the listing for what’s running on Thursday evening, say from 11 PM, you also want to see the programs that start at 0:05 AM. You "think" it’s still "Thursday evening". Therefore, programs after midnight are also counted as Thursday.
- It is based on the "wake cycle", i.e. until you go to bed (hopefully before 5 AM!) programs are counted to the day you got up, i.e. are awake. A program at 2 AM is therefore still counted to the mentioned Thursday and not (calendarically correct) to Friday. Friday contains all programs until Saturday morning at 4:59 AM. From 5 AM the new TV day then starts.
