Brevo HTML Editor for Custom Email Templates

Create a responsive Brevo HTML template on your Mac and export it for your next campaign

Brevo HTML editor workflow with Mail Designer 365

A Brevo HTML editor gives you more control over the look of newsletters, transactional emails, and automated campaigns. Create your layout in Mail Designer 365, export the finished HTML, and add it to Brevo in a few straightforward steps. If you previously searched for a Sendinblue HTML editor or Sendinblue email templates, this is the same workflow under the platform’s current name: Brevo.

Create your Brevo email template in Mail Designer 365

Before you open the Brevo HTML editor, you need a design that fits your brand and works reliably on desktop and mobile. Mail Designer 365 is a native Mac app for creating responsive HTML emails visually, so you can build a polished Brevo HTML template without writing code.

The drag-and-drop editor gives you control over the layout instead of limiting you to a standard template. Add your own images, colors, buttons, text styles, and reusable design elements, then adjust the mobile version separately when a section needs a different treatment on a smaller screen.

  • Create newsletters and transactional email designs in a visual editor.
  • Fine-tune desktop and mobile layouts independently.
  • Reuse branded elements across future campaigns.
  • Preview the finished email before moving it into Brevo.

Once the design is ready, export the HTML package from Mail Designer 365 and paste the code into the Brevo email editor. This lets you combine a flexible design workflow with Brevo’s campaign, contact, and automation tools. Download Mail Designer 365 and start your Brevo email design, then follow the export steps below.

HOW IT WORKS

How to use the Brevo HTML editor and export HTML

Once your email design is ready, you can export HTML for Brevo and paste the code into your campaign. The steps below show how to move a custom Brevo HTML template from Mail Designer 365 into the Brevo email editor without rebuilding the layout.

  1. Build your HTML email design in Mail Designer 365 and select "Share” > “Website / HTML…
  2. Enter the image URL prefix for the online server where you will be hosting your images. You will need this later on so that your images can be located and displayed accurately in your design. (Learn more about this step here.)
  3. Following export, select the images in the folder and upload them to the server from the previous step.
  4. Sign in to your Brevo account and create a new email campaign.
  5. Fill out the settings for your campaign (i.e. name, sender address, subject, etc.), then select "Design" and choose "code your own"
  6. Choose "HTML Editor", then locate the content.html file in the HTML export folder. Right-click the file and open it with a text editor. Copy the complete code and paste it into the Brevo HTML editor to upload your newsletter.
  7. You can now use your Mail Designer 365 HTML design with the automation tools provided in the Brevo CRM Suite.

Working with Brevo and Sendinblue templates

Brevo was previously known as Sendinblue, so older documentation may still refer to Sendinblue templates, the Sendinblue email editor, or a Sendinblue HTML editor. These terms describe the earlier branding of the same platform. The current Brevo HTML template workflow lets you prepare the design outside the platform and then add the exported code to a campaign.
