If you’re unable to connect and need to reconnect to your SonicWALL VPN after the recent cloud backup breach, it’s likely that your administrator has updated your VPN credentials or gateway configuration to improve security. During the incident, attackers accessed SonicWALL’s cloud backup service and obtained firewall configuration files that contained VPN settings and pre-shared keys (PSKs). To protect networks, administrators were instructed to rotate PSKs, update passwords, and adjust VPN configurations.

To reconnect, first verify with your network administrator that you have the latest VPN connection details. You may need to enter a new PSK, confirm the correct gateway address, or update authentication methods in your VPN client. If you’re using VPN Tracker, open your SonicWALL connection, go to the Setup tab, and replace the old PSK with the new one provided by your admin. Once saved, test the connection to ensure successful authentication.
