Häufig gestellte Fragen
If your SonicWALL VPN connection suddenly stopped working, it may be related to a recent SonicWALL data leak that affects many devices worldwide. In this incident, attackers accessed SonicWALL’s cloud backup service and stole firewall configuration files containing VPN credentials and pre-shared keys (PSKs). As a precaution, SonicWALL advised all administrators to immediately change these credentials and update VPN configurations to prevent unauthorized access.
When your administrator updates the VPN’s PSK or other authentication settings in response to the data leak, your existing configuration may no longer match the new settings, resulting in connection failures. This is a sign that your administrator has likely secured the system, not that your VPN is permanently broken.
To fix this, reach out to your IT administrator or network manager and ask whether the VPN credentials or configuration details were recently updated. You may need to re-enter a new PSK, update your username or password, or adjust the connection parameters in your VPN client. If you’re using VPN Tracker, open the connection settings and verify that they match the latest information provided by your admin.
