On iOS, the Mail app includes several privacy features — one of them is called Mail Privacy Protection. When this feature is enabled, all images are loaded through Apple’s proxy servers to mask the recipient’s IP address.
In our testing, this can sometimes cause certain email images not to load correctly. In this case, you’ll see a message at the top of your Mail app saying "Unable to load remote content privately":
If you are unable to load images in your email, try deactivating this feature and reopening or resending your message.
To deactivate Mail Privacy Protection, open the Settings app on your iPhone and go to:
Mail > Privacy Protection > Protect Mail Activity
